History
ArtArtà is a family business that was born in our home, a house with a strong Mallorcan character built in 1890, where four generations of the Sancho family have lived. In this family there have been women artisans who worked with ceramics and llatra, lovers of music and Mallorcan traditions, with deeply rooted values that have ensured our culture is always present in our lives.
Our Products
FINESTRETA
Finestreta is a family business from Ciutadella (Menorca) that creates unique handmade T-shirts. Their designs, inspired by the Mediterranean, are aged through a natural and eco-friendly process that makes each piece one of a kind.
LINEN
Our linen collection comes from the south of the Iberian Peninsula and is produced in family-run factories in Andalusia. It includes dresses, shirts, and trousers that are lightweight, soft, durable, and carry an elegant Mediterranean character.
SHOES
The avarca menorquina is an iconic type of footwear from our islands, handcrafted by the Pons family since 1945, with models for both women and men.
Espardenyes or espadrilles, handmade with esparto grass, are an essential summer shoe that comes from the north of the peninsula in a wide variety of colors.
LLENGÜES FABRIC
Llengües fabric, also known as Mallorcan fabric or IKAT, is one of the oldest and most emblematic crafts of the island of Mallorca. At ArtArtà, we are an official retailer of the VICENS workshop in Pollença. We offer fabric by the meter as well as a wide range of accessories and home products.
LLATRA
Llatra is a traditional craft from the eastern part of Mallorca (specifically Artà and Capdepera), made by women artisans. It is created from garballó palm leaves collected in July and handcrafted into baskets, bags, and even earrings. At ArtArtà, you will find a small selection of these products, guaranteed to be locally made.
CERAMICS
At ArtArtà, we offer a collection of ceramics made by artisans from the region. You will find everything from traditional siurells (clay whistles) to plates and bowls decorated with Mallorcan llengües patterns and various Mediterranean motifs.
